Have you ever met someone that’s unquestionably passionate about the work that they do? A man or woman that has spent years perfecting their craft and refining their skillsets?

I went to a cooking class a couple nights ago where I learned how to make a challenging three-course French dinner. I’ve never really cooked anything complex before, but I signed up for the class as a way to get out of my comfort zone, learn something different, and gain a new experience.

The meal was delicious and I had a lot of fun while also learning a thing or two about cooking. But the best part of it all was meeting the chef that led the class.

She graduated from a very prestigious culinary school, spent several years traveling through various countries to study different cuisines, and trained dozens of chefs around the world.

After returning to the US, she went on to start her own restaurant, consulted for other high-end restaurants, and later open her own business (the place where I took the cooking class). She could probably explain her background much better than that, but, in short, she knew her shit.
