I just watched the Russell Brand video that you mentioned. Definitely agree with his point that we are tribal creatures that rely on the support and communication from those around us, yet society has turned us against one another. I'd say the need for a "sense of belonging" can either be highly destructive or greatly empowering depending on perspective. I like your point about the need to shift to a more collective approach—collaborating and growing together with those around us, rather than competing.
