The Key to Long-Term Happiness is a Strong Sense of Purpose
I, like many people, have spent a great deal of time struggling to find happiness.
For many years, I have found myself lacking any true sense of meaning or direction in my life. Each day felt like merely a repeat of the same routine process, simply going through the motions, devoid of any true fulfillment or satisfaction.
I spent my days climbing the corporate ladder in an effort to make more money and attain a higher position. I went to college, pursued positions that paid well, and ended up feeling that the life I had chosen was not one that would grant me the meaning or clarity that I was seeking.
Looking back, it’s sad to consider how many years I spent feeling like my existence was rather aimless. And while I try not to live with any regrets, I spent more time being a miserable corporate drone than I’d care to admit.
