True happiness can never be attained.

The Buddhists came to this conclusion thousands of years ago. Modern psychologists will tell you the same thing today. And if you need proof, just look at all the 3-star reviews on Amazon.

The simple fact is, there’s no such thing as absolute satisfaction.

But you knew that already. Just as dogs know they can’t catch a moving car — the pursuit is bound to fail. But hey, at least it keeps us entertained.

But if you want to make the chase for happiness a little less disappointing, then I think I have the answer for you: Just be kinda happy.

True Happiness Doesn’t Exist

You see, true happiness doesn’t exist. The best life that anyone can hope to achieve is nothing more than a fast-paced oscillation between desire and satisfaction.

At least that’s what German philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer believed.

He claimed that a “happy” life would include enough fulfillment to never put us in too much pain…
